Join WAWA, Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, the Proctor Creek Stewardship Council, community scientists, and volunteers in collecting water samples throughout West Atlanta neighborhoods through which Proctor, Utoy, and Sandy Creeks flow to get a 1-day “snapshot” of water quality in these Westside streams. Help address water quality issues by learning about water quality monitoring. We will be heading to 60+ locations throughout Proctor, Sandy and Utoy Creeks!

Community scientists and volunteers will meet for a brief training session at 10:00 am. Then at 10:30 am we will go out to collect water samples from various sites in Proctor, Sandy and Utoy Creeks, after which the data will be analyzed to assess water quality.

No previous monitoring experience is necessary!  Light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants. Dress for the weather -- we'll have a good time, rain or shine. All ages are welcome!
